Presentation Design – how to design convincing and memorable presentations
In this workshop you will learn about the importance and potential of (well-designed!) presentations during work life, which is why a new profession and market is slowly emerging: Presentation Design. To understand how to design convincing presentations one must understand how viewers perceive visual content paired with spoken word. Hence, I came up with 16 Golden Rules that explain how our viewer perceives our presentation slides and practical hacks and exercises that show how these rules can be implemented. Apart from the basics of presentation design and the practical design hacks, the main goal of the workshop is to expand its participants’ horizon with respect to what is possible when creating presentations. For the best possible outcome of this workshop, the participants are advised to bring their own laptop, with access to the newest version of Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 365).
Ralph Eugia: As an International Business graduate from Maastricht University, I have learned and practiced the craft of designing presentations during my studies. Aside from my curriculum, I have expanded my knowledge on the field through books and seminars from well-known presentation designers (e.g. Nancy Duarte, Garr Reynolds, J.P. Philipps) up to the point that companies and businessmen started paying me money to design their presentations. Hence, I founded the agency Deinepresi Presentation Design (www.deinepresi.de) in 2017, offering presentation design and training services. My customer base includes several start-ups, consultants and DAX companies such as Vodafone or the German Telekom.
Target audience: all students
